The only somewhat steep section of the 4.2 mile trail to Wildrose peak is the last 0.6 mile, but the switchbacks tame the trail, and afford great views back to Telescope peak that can be accessed via the old gravel road, and to the side where the Badwater basin forms the lowest point in the US.
