The Fechenheim Main Arch is the largest undeveloped floodplain in Frankfurt am Main. In the summer of 2019, after a ten-year planning period, a 600-meter-long renatured branch of the Main River east of Starkenburger Straße was built here. The towpath along the shore was newly created and designed in this section. The resulting landscape is said to be recaptured by nature in the coming years.

New route right-Mainian. Good surface and unexpected landscape. Unfortunately, the bridge between Offenbach and this stretch of pavement was still broken up by roots. Drive carefully, then it's worth it.
