The valley of Langballigau is one of the most scenic valleys on the Baltic coast. With its semi-natural slope forests, the wetlands and the meandering Langballigau direction Förde it provides a habitat for a unique flora and fauna. Here live numerous endangered species such as kingfisher, various species of amphibians, dragonflies, grasshoppers and butterfly species. The rare grass snake can also be found here.
