The valley of the river "Langballigau" is incredibly varied: You experience forests, sea, meadows, wetlands and boardwalks - depending on which of the hiking trails you choose.
In 1990 the valley was declared a nature reserve.

The valley of Langballigau really worth it. However, there are solid hiking boots announced, because if not a drought is very muddy.

The valley of Langballigau is one of the most scenic valleys on the Baltic coast. With its semi-natural slope forests, the wetlands and the meandering Langballigau direction Förde it provides a habitat for a unique flora and fauna. Here live numerous endangered species such as kingfisher, various species of amphibians, dragonflies, grasshoppers and butterfly species. The rare grass snake can also be found here. For this reason, it has been protected since 1990 with a size of 124 ha.
After approx. 5 km the forest opens and you reach the harbor Langballigau. Here you can rest well.
