The valley of the Langballigau is one of the loveliest brook valleys on the Baltic Sea coast and unique on the Flensburg Fjord. The semi-natural hillside forests and wetlands host a unique flora and fauna. With a size of 124 ha in 1990 it was placed under nature conservation. So here live u.a. Gray wagtail, kingfisher, grass snake and rare marsh snail species. The broadleaf orchid and the endangered giant horsetail are still to be found here. So it is worth the walk completely from Langballigau (harbor) to Unewatt. The landscape of the Langballigau meanders through the deep valley. Cross the wet meadows via wooden planks, on the other side of the stream, the path runs along the Hanglaubwälder. In Unewatt you can visit the fishing museum. And because there are many places of interest to discover in the village, the unawatters have made a museum straight out of the village. A 1.7 km long circular route leads to museum islands in the village, which convey historical and interesting facts. There are also events in the tiny village with only 69 inhabitants. Special offers for children make a trip to the family experience. More information here: museum-unewatt.de

I can fully agree with that. I lived there for 2 years and did some tours (before komoot).

A circular walk around the Langballigau I can only recommend.
