Praça do Povo, Funchal

The harbor promenade of Funchal is very nice and clean. Unfortunately overrun by tourists in every season. In the shops and bars and cafes is Portuguese, English and sometimes German spoken, the prices are sometimes a bit overpriced. Funchal has a very nice old town. The narrow streets invite for a walk. Bus and taxi connections are available along the entire harbor promenade.

There is always something going on on the harbor promenade. If you are looking for solitude, this is not the place for you. Because there is always something to see, the time is also very entertaining. I particularly liked the groups that made music on panpipes.

Here you can stroll wonderfully and watch the ships in and out.
