After heavy rainfall, mostly in winter and spring, the water flows from two tumblers (karst springs). The valley then turns into a small river. On the left and right slopes of the valley you can find the typical grassland as found in Franconian Switzerland. Near the Heroldsmühle or if you walk along it towards the Leinleitertal, you come to the source of the Leinleiter.

Worth seeing, mostly dry outlet of the karst spring "Tummler" in the dry valley. After heavy rainfall, the so-called Hunger Fountain turns into a small river.
