Toledo Cathedral

A day visiting the UNESCO rated hilltop city of Toledo with its cathedral and Alcazar. To be honest though whoever thought of building a cathedral at the top of a 500m hill and the car park at the bottom needs speaking to. At least they put in escalators all the way to the top though (honest 🤷). Stunning, stunning place.

A Roman municipium, the capital of the Visigothic Kingdom, a fortress of the Emirate of Cordoba, an outpost of the Christian kingdoms fighting the Moors.

Toledo has a very beautiful old town, especially the Santa María Cathedral and the Alcázar. From the Camping El Greco campsite, you can walk to the old town in about 15 minutes via the Puente de San Martín.
