The name comes from the Danakil Desert in Ethiopia. It is one of the most inhumane regions in the world.
Danakil in egapark consists of a desert house and a jungle house, which are connected to each other. Water plays the central role in both. Plants and animals that have adapted to the respective extreme conditions will move into the 83 meter long and 35 meter wide building. BUGA Erfurt 2021 is scheduled to open on April 23, 2021.
