Since the first mention of Hinschenfeld in 1336, there was also a watermill on the grounds of what is now the Eichtalpark, which was then used as a loom mill for a leather factory. It served the grinding of the Lohe, thus of bark, wood and leaves of the trees. Today, the restaurant "Zum Eichtalpark" is located here. The current building was built in 1888 after the fire of its predecessor and converted into a restaurant in 1928, but only two years later the water wheel was removed.
