The historic town hall of the city of Bodenheim is one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in Rheinhessen. The two-storey building was built in 1608 and consists of sandstone and richly decorated half-timbering.

At the time of its construction, it was used as a courthouse, where 1612 witch trials were held. Even today, a vaulted part is called a witch cellar.
