UPDATE: The former rest area with the original angular sandstone table no longer exists. Currently, there is only a large area of stinging nettles! - A fallen tree severely damaged the rest area, which is why the large beech tree next to the beautiful seating area was felled for safety reasons. - As of August 2025

The Stamminger Fountain is the stone-lined source of the Haselbach stream (in the Haseltal valley), which flows into the Speyerbach stream in Elmstein. It is a natural monument in Elmstein in memory of forester Johann Stamminger.

The fountain pipe only drips very sparingly, as the springs in this valley are used almost to the last drop to supply Elmstein with water.

At the moment the rest area is a little *defective*.
