Tips
The Lobachtal has been redesigned at least twice:
1. from the early modern period through hammer and steel works with ponds and channels
2. From 1904 to about 2000 through a sewage treatment plant with laying and piping of the stream.
Today, the creek is rebuilt close to nature (see waterboelles.de/archives/20312-Lobach-Renaturierung-werten-Naherholungsgebiet-auf.html) and popular recreational area. The traces of the industrial past can only be seen in the upper reaches, otherwise well hidden.December 1, 2019
