We learn that a cast iron factory was built on this site in 1842. It was the largest factory on the Eschbach and produced more cheaply than the blacksmiths and grinders, who still worked by hand. This led to the revolution in 1848, when the grinders and blacksmiths broke into the factory and destroyed everything.
What can we learn from this: in my opinion, nothing. There have always been angry mobs and there probably always will be.
