Daughters of the Rutor glacier are the Rutorine Falls, one of the most beautiful in the Aosta Valley. Three impetuous jumps of water that throw themselves into gorges and precipices, generating the Dora del Rutor. The inauguration of the bridge over the third waterfall, which took place in 2014 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth, allows you to enjoy a fantastic show.

The climb to the Gleno dam starting from Pianezza can be divided into two halves: the first develops in a medium-dense forest with short panoramic views. The ground is mostly passable with very short uneven points with roots and rocks in sight, while the slope sometimes encourages you to take a breath.
The second half of the route instead extends over a long flat area halfway up the valley that leads to the ruins of the dam. Once flattened, you can initially admire the views of the Presolana and then towards the ruins. The travel time, at an average pace, is around two hours to the lake.
If you do not want to end the walk here, you can continue along the lake and go past it to enter the bottom of the valley and climb towards the Belviso Pass in another two hours or so. Perhaps it is superfluous to add that the views multiply and so does the sense of freedom that you feel crossing the large green spaces of the pastures.

Cima Mandriolo (or Manderiòlo) is one of the peaks that border the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni to the north: the southern slope slopes gently towards the Altopiano, while the northern slope descends steeply towards Valsugana. From the summit you can enjoy a superlative panorama: to the east, the long bastion of Cima Portule; to the south, Mount Verena and the Vezzena plateau; to the west, Cima Vezzena with its fort, the Vicenza Prealps and the Becco di Filadonna; to the north, Valsugana, the Dolomites and the entire Lagorai chain. The final climb is on the crest, at a safe distance from the overhang on Valsugana, but going off-road you find yourself with caution on the edge of the unprotected abyss: it is precisely this verticality towards the north that makes this excursion, without a doubt, rewarding.

The Città del Tufo archaeological park opened its doors in 1998 with the aim of preserving and promoting the precious historical and cultural heritage of the tuff area. The surrounding area is enriched by monumental tombs, among which the famous Ildebranda tomb stands out, an Etruscan masterpiece carved from an imposing block of tuff to imitate the appearance of a temple from the Hellenistic age. Other fascinating tombs include the Pola tomb, those of the Typhoon, of the Winged Demons and of the Siren. The magical atmosphere of the place is further enriched by the presence of suggestive hollow streets, with the Via Cava di San Sebastiano, squeezed between walls of over 20 meters, the Via Cava di Poggio Prisca and the Cavone, on whose walls you can admire engravings from different eras, including crosses with exorcistic purposes and a large swastika, a solar symbol.
