It's about time the sign was made legible again...but this time with "Ä" 😆
Very entertaining tour this morning at the coffee table ☝️❗️ enjoyed watching it...

December 30th, now it's really time, the (for this year) irrevocably last tour to Geiseltalsee - a leisurely end-of-year tour with a little grog break.
First we had to collect all the passengers, there were four of us - two came by train from different directions and we met one at the edge of town in

This year I had time again for the end-of-year tour to Geiseltalsee. The journey to Halle by train was problem-free and on time (the journey home too). From Halle main station we went to Geiseltalsee. After a walk around the lake including a grog break we went back to Halle. Thanks to @hallunke for the

16th edition of the Auewald-MBO
The people of Leipzig use this event every year as a kind of end to the season (if you want, you can still drive on). And because it's November, the weather was absolutely perfect again this year - although it stopped raining afterwards.
The rules of the game:

Meeting in Röblingen, the train was on time today.
We set off straight away and always followed the interesting paths along the Weida. The former railway line from Röblingen-Schraplau-Esperstedt-Obhausen-Querfurt was also always nearby. Interesting that the tracks are still there almost everywhere.

Nice idea from Andreas @hallunke, great spring weather, fragrant greenery, interesting places and wide views...
And the train was running too!

one could now ask:
what, where, why Zöschen? Here the botanist had created a very well-known arboretum at the time - well worth seeing, despite decades of decay. There are still stately trees, the Dieck villa and even a signposted hike to the various highlights in the town. Thanks Andreas K. for this

Thank you Andreas for the perfect tour! The destination caught my eye when I read something about the history of the Schimmel&Co company in Miltitz near Leipzig: The botanist Dr. Georg Dieck de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Dieck (1847-1925) had advised the then world market leader in essential oils on the

At post 6 (picture 11): Before I could even fully grasp it, the rascal took off his shoes and socks and stepped into the icy water. He wasn't the only one who snapped a picture of our map, either 😇 Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo because I was too stunned 🙊
