Welcome to Day 1 of our trek across Mallorca on the GR221! As this was a fairly last minute girls trip, you'll find that this isn't a classic Day 1 stage of the GR221. The trail routinely begins in Port d'Andratx but we had to play around a bit with the itinerary and begin our trail in Sant Elm.

A loop of the Loweswater Wainwrights with Becky and Sarah. The trails are much less frosty today in comparison to yesterday but you'll still find ice lingering in North-facing areas. We headed to Owsen Fell to watch the sunset which was lovely! The last few days I've watched the sun set behind the mountains

A fantastic walk from Mungrisdale up to Bowscale Tarn, onto the ridge to Bowscale Fell, around to Bannerdale Crags and over to Souther Fell for sunset. Trails were largely crunchy underfoot with some ice patches that were easily avoidable ❄️

A wintery jaunt up Grisedale Pike to meet Jess and Becky for sunset. A very frosty, dark finish with head torches and a cold bum! 🥶
