Die Schlinge wurde erstmals 1776 als "Hohe Schlinge" benannt. Der Rundweg oberhalb der Schlinge welcher vermutlich zu touristischen zwecken diente tauchte letztmalig 2013 in den Böhm Wanderkarten auf und verschwand danach aus den Karten. Ein begehen ist heute verboten. Der Aufstieg den ich gewählt habe ist historisch leider falsch und zudem sehr beschwerlich aber der Abstieg ist der richtige historische Weg. Die Aussichten sind leider mittlerweile zugewachsen.
