Today, with fantastic hiking weather, we continued on the Druidensteig. From Elkenroth, the path led over the Westerwaldhöhen with beautiful views, down via Alsdorf to Betzdorf, my destination today. Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather (at least in the morning) again to tackle the next stage of the Hohe Mark Steig together with @Claudi. In bright sunshine but frosty temperatures, we set off from Haltern, past the reservoir, through the Westruper Heide and Haard to our destination today

Following the trail named after the composer and conductor Max Bruch, we hiked from Bergisch Gladbach through the beautiful Strunde Valley to Herrenstrunden with its Malteser Mill, St. John the Baptist Church

The Druidensteig trail has been on my list for two years now, and since it's on the shortlist for (long-distance) hiking trail of the year, I finally tackled it today 🥾🥾.
