About KarstenE

Recently, while browsing for nice tours, I discovered the small Ise River and planned a route with Komoot from its mouth in Gifhorn to its source in Neuekrug.
The Ise is a small river, about 50 km long, and unfortunately, you can't always cycle right along the banks, but the tour is still beautiful.

You can't rely on the trains again 🙈🙈🙈, first a 17-minute delay from Goslar to Hanover and then a complete cancellation of trains towards Lehrte and Celle from Hanover 🤪, so I cycled home and thus completed the Gran Fondo 💯 Dec.'25 ✅

Today I took the train to Göttingen and from there via Northeim and Seesen to Goslar.
I rode my mountain bike, which was easy on my back, and from Northeim onwards I rode with @Bert Ungerer.
It was a fantastic tour (even without sunshine), first along the Leine River, then through the Harz foothills to

The weather was glorious, albeit cold at 6°C and with an icy wind, but there was no stopping me ☀️, even though it was difficult for me today 🌬️🌬️🚴♂️, the joy of being outdoors outweighed everything else 🤗.
The route is doable with a gravel bike, but today I would have preferred my mountain bike

Something unexpected happened again today 🤷
I only wanted to take a quick stroll around the block 😃, but the sun was just too tempting and totally pulled me in 🥳, so my little walk turned into a proper hike with hardly any wind, a bright blue sky, and pure sunshine... simply wonderful 😇.

A perfect day to cycle the FBB Tour from Burgdorf:

Today I was really lucky, I made the most of that one hour of sunshine.
On day 5 of my fasting (zero-intake), it was a recovery ride; of course, I don't have much energy to spare right now 😉, but it was lovely 🚴♂️☀️🤗

The start was almost typical: the S-Bahn from Burgdorf had signal box problems 🤔.
To get to Lehrte, I first warmed up with a 10 km bike ride (in 7°C weather) 🚴♂️.
From there, I took the train to Wunstorf and then followed the Leine River (as far as that was even possible) to its confluence with the
