Returned to this area to do the Erzegg Snowshoe trail as the weather was not so good the last time we were here.

Austria - Wetterkruezspitzen Snowshoeing
Great snowshoe trial, although route at time was challenging due to snowdrifts, which meant it took longer going up as we had to find alternative ways round drifts. Amazing views from the top, would recommend this route, especially on sunny clear days

Turren-Schönbüel Snowshoe Route 799
Great snowshoe route, nice deep snow, great views across to Jungfrau mountains. Fun traverse below Höch Gumme. Views to Interlaken and Brienzersee lake with low cloud. Well marked route and not that challenging.

Melchsee-Frutt Snow shoeing Route 791 (Part of)
Most of Snowshoe Routes 790 & 791 were closed due to high winds & low cloud. Only route open was the valley section. Visibility was practically zero at times and snow wind gusts of approximately 40-45 kilometres per hour and extremely cold. But, route is clearly marked.

Erlenbach Snowshoeing Route 184
Great snowshoe route, with fabulous Mountain View’s and crossing frozen lakes. Not that difficult a route, but temperatures can be quite cold in the shaded parts.
Interesting to see people fishing on one of the lakes and we measured the ice thickness, which was approximately 2ft thick - OR 61cms…
