Im kleinen Ort Barmen gibt es viele kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Heute war die Stadt anlässlich des Maifestes wunderschön mit vielen bunten Fahnen und Fähnchen geschmückt. Gefühlt war das ganze Dorf draußen und hat gefeiert. Kurzerhand geht es in einen kleinen unscheinbaren Weg hinein direkt in die Natur. Links und rechts verläuft ein Flüsschen, man kommt an einem Schloss und einer Mühle vorbei, bevor man die Rur erreicht. Weiter geht's durchs Feld auf schönen Wegen. Der alte Rurarm mit den vielen Wasservögeln und einer schönen Bank, läd zur Rast ein.
