Today it was the Salz & Sole bike path's turn. Again a very nice round with information boards about the salt mining. Beautiful section from Neckarmühlbach to Bad Rappenau through the Fünfmühlental. The old town with the imperial palace of Bad Wimpfen is well worth seeing. By coincidence we also drove through Gundelsheim. Another visit to the chocolate factory could not be avoided 😋.
Just right for the first bike tour of the year, not everything is absolutely worth seeing, but varied and with a few small highlights of views and paths
Done💪🏼 After many attempts, we finally cycled the entire prescribed salt and brine route 😂 However, from Bad Rappenau onwards there are no more signposts to be found 🙈 - luckily we had downloaded the route from "heilbronnerland.de" this time - so nothing could go wrong 🙈 It's just a great tour ... for us even with many variations 😂😂😂
Back to my youth. I grew up here. It's also a truly beautiful area, one you don't really notice as a young person. The salt and brine cycle path has many highlights. We took a break at the Siegelsbach Mill. A tip for anyone who doesn't live here. Sights: Bad Wimpfen: Imperial Palace and historic old town Bad Friedrichshall: Salt mine and the castles in historic Kochendorf Gundelsheim: Horneck Castle with the Transylvanian Museum Haßmersheim: Guttenberg Castle Bad Rappenau: Water castle, graduation tower, spa and saltworks park
Thanks to Komoot and the user who stopped this great tour for the general public. On a sunny day with the first corona loosening - a dream.
From the brochure Cycling Tours in the Kocher, Jagst and Neckar Valleys, we chose the N2 Salt and Brine Cycle Route to start with. A leisurely tour that is easy to ride. The Bad Rappenau spa park is very beautiful, and the moated castle and graduation tower are also worth seeing. But I was totally impressed by the historic old town of Bad Wimpfen🤩, wonderful half-timbered houses and the cobbled streets, everything very authentic🤗
