The seating area is a bit old, but the view over the fields of Neuhof is simply beautiful! If it's too hot in the sun, there is also a single bench within sight (in the shade).

December 30, 2021,Premiumwanderweg Leininger Klosterweg
Today's tour in the Leininger Land was very nice despite the moderate weather. The Leininger Klosterweg is a premium hiking trail that leads mostly on small paths through the forest, so it is very close to nature. We liked Höningen with its architecture integrated into the "cityscape". In the middle of the village the inn smelled wonderful, unfortunately the meals …

Today we went on a hike around Hertlingshausen and Höningen. A really beautiful tour, unfortunately somewhat marred by foggy and hazy weather. The stop at the Rahnenhof was a bit of a relief at the end of the tour. You should definitely do this hike again when the weather is better.

Great, varied route with a crisp final climb. The tour is highly recommended. Stop at the Nfh Rahnenhof.

Today we were in Leininger Land on the path that connects the two former monastery villages of Hertlingshausen and Höningen.
The weather cooperated again. First it goes up to the Kieskautberg, and then you stay on some ridges. Again and again there are great views far over the forests up there through the leafless beeches.
Höningen is a very pretty …

Leininger Klosterweg

With a high proportion of natural paths and many paths and narrow stretches, this premium trail leads a lot through beautiful, varied forest. It connects the two former monastery locations of Hertlingshausen and Höningen and repeatedly offers references to monastic relics along the way. These include the “Keystone” and the former Neuhof monastery estate.

Started this morning under wrong (weather) conditions. We had, fog, ☔️rain, snow, sleet, up to hail, everything the Palatinate has to offer at this time of year.
Nevertheless, it was a nice and entertaining tour with Schwibsi and his wife. At the end we had a delicious meal in the Naturfreundehaus Rahnenhof (Carlsberg). Highlight: the cheese cream cake 🍰 Hmmmm😋😋😋

This Saturday, a day hike organized by TSG Sulzbach, the Leininger Klosterweg in the Northern Palatinate Forest, was on my hiking calendar.

A beautiful route with lovely narrow paths, little asphalt, and a final stop at the Naturfreundehaus (Nature Friends' House), so it was a truly well-rounded experience.
