Anger Square, Bad Frankenhausen

Highlight • Settlement

Here on the Anger there are some hotels, ice cream parlors and also benches to sit on, but it is very stone-heavy. It's a matter of taste, but I would have liked a little more green.

A great bike tour. Almost only asphalt under the wheels. Very few side streets and hardly any traffic. Always recommended. There is a lot to discover in terms of landscape. If you have time 😀.
Bad Frankenhausen is a very beautiful town with a great park and an impressive leaning tower. The tower in Pisa can't keep up. If you …

That was an AWESOME tour!! Relatively short but so beautiful...nature, quaint villages, panoramic views...simply fantastic😊 Clearly number 1 for 2025 so far! Unfortunately, we didn't drive up to the monument because the paths through the woods aren't really passable, and the road today is like it was for us on the Köterberg at the weekend...🏍️ But we'll do that tomorrow …

It's always nice to do this route. I set off early, which was good 😀. At first there were hardly any people around, very relaxed on the bike path. It wasn't particularly busy in Bad Frankenhausen either🤗But then on the last km of country road there were only motorbikes,🏍️ of course in this weather.😀

Bikes saddled up and first driven to Bad Frankenhausen. Now it started on the circular route around the Kyffhäuser. First to the Barbarossa cave, then on to the Kelbra reservoir. There was a powerful headwind at first, but that eventually eased off. Very nice bike paths and the weather is perfect for cycling. Back in Bad Frankenhausen, we made a …

Headwind in every direction 🌬️🌬️🌬️
Twice chain re-tightened 🚯 no gloves no cleaning cloths

I'm still happy to have mastered the Kyffhäuser cycle path 🤩😎🚲🤸

How do I clean my hands so I can get on my contact lenses?⁉️❓🤔😕

Today in very nice weather with Ina around the Kyffhäuser, in Bad Frankenhausen the panorama museum finally viewed from the inside. Had a coffee and cake and on we went. In Kelbra, of course, enjoyed the best ice cream.

This morning it was still quite foggy when my companion and I left Kelbra. Unfortunately, the Kyffhäuser Monument had also disappeared in the fog and the sun just didn't come through the high fog. In Bad Frankenhausen the gray finally disappeared and the blue sky accompanied us up to we were back at the starting point in Kelbra.
