This beautiful, well over a kilometer-long beach promenade was built over 100 years ago.

During the summer months, there are many stalls here, and it can get quite busy 😉

Sooo... today again an after-work round on the beach.

This time from Elmenhorst through the coastal forest to Warnemünde.

There was then first a cooling off in the Baltic Sea and "supper" on the beach. Strengthened and refreshed then return along the water. The Baltic Sea is currently perfect and with waves it's a lot more fun.

We love walks on the beach, in all seasons, in all weathers. 😊

We're back in Warnemünde, in our lovely holiday apartment with a fantastic view of the sea. Our first short hike. Komoot just recorded some nonsense along the way.

Warnemünde's most beautiful side

Just head west from the beach promenade, always along the water... Following the coast you get to the Stoltera, the cliff and the coastal forest in the nature reserve of the same name. The steep coast rises imposingly above the narrow beach. At Cape Geinitzort we climb the last of the numerous stairs, hike through the …

The wind was still blowing quite well on this hike through the Stoltera after three stormy nights with peak winds of 172 km/h on Hiddensee. However, I would have expected more from the swell off Warnemünde. Nevertheless: The perceived temperature was well below the specified 4°C for the sections on the beach. This tour was always nice. And I finally …

International Women's Day is a public holiday in Berlin. That had to be used. So early this morning we took the train to Rostock and then on to Warnemünde. The weather was great, dry, windless and sometimes even the sun came out.
Several other people apparently had the same idea, but that didn't matter. Things are (still) going well on …

Contemplative round, despite a violent storm and occasional rain along the sea. It was still nice and relaxing. 🌬 ⛵🐚
