Hard road ride. Very good fitness required. Mostly well-paved surfaces and easy to ride. The starting point of the route is accessible with public transport.

Beautiful ride on the sometimes busy coastal road. After Los Christianos a number of steep parts, around 15 percent. After Arona again gradually through beautiful nature. IN Vilaflor is a square with a terrace where you can eat and drink something. Take a jacket for the descent.

March 4, 2022,Road Bike Tour - Teide Parque Nacional
I had 2 bananas, two energy gels, one mysli bar and 2 litres of water with me, and all gone. There was very cold, when you were in cloudy zone. On top was warm, cause there was shining. On The way Back you can ride over 30 km without pedaling att all 🤟🤟 That was pretty awesome trip! 😎✌️✌️
I recorded the entire tour with Garmin and it can also be seen here on komoot.

There and back ride to wave goodbye to Teide. The long climb in the finally nice weather was a big pleasure and a big challenge. The higher, the more beautiful. The full of light sparse forest of Corona Forestal is definitely my favourite elevation zone, combining the brutal roughness of the volcanic formations with the softness and delicacy of the …

The bike box on the upper street of vilaflor (1450 m altitude) has a lot of repair tools in case if bike needs it. Even a pump. Nice idea and makes cyclists feel welcome.
Viaflor. A mini-market opposite a gas station. Apparently it's the stop before continuing the climb towards El Teide according to 3 Spanish cyclists and 1 Englishman.
The Englishman laughed a lot when I told him that this mini-market was the Reynard del Teide chalet
Otherwise fortunately I had a 34/34.
But to do

The ascent and descent to the Teide crater is probably the crowning stage for all racing bike fans. Some Tour de France pros also train in this area. Today I tried the upper part of the southern ascent to Teide (from the very bottom of the coast it would be about 1000 meters more 😁). Overall, a strenuous (only uphill …

(March 5, 2024) What a trip!!! The ride started at Bike Point Tenerife, where I rented the bike (highly recommended) and ends at the cable car. From the starting point it goes for 2 kilometers through the busy center with a few dangerous roundabouts because they are without a cycle path. Once past this, the climb begins. Just along the …
