At the foot of the Sonnenspitze and the Zugspitze you cycle through the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. Of course, you can especially enjoy the view of the mountains and the quite flat cycle paths in the valley.

The views in the Gurgltal are simply wonderful: the valley floor is almost flat and is idyllic with meadows and rustic huts. All around, the mountains rise steeply, which are crowned by rocky peaks.

The Fernpass with its gravel and washed out sections is a real challenge. Once at the top, one highlight after another pours out, which you never see as a car driver. just lovely.

September 7, 2024,1. Füssen - Tarrenz
Hotel tip for Füssen: Hotel Frühlingsgarten. Good a la carte restaurant.

If you want to leave your car in Füssen - there are a few public parking spaces - or ask the locals nicely.

Refreshments: Otto's Pistentreff in Biberwier

Hotel in Tarrenz: Lamm. Not recommended, very run down, not good value for money. The Tarrenz/Imst region was very fully booked …

A very nice tour 👍 unfortunately heavy to moderate rain the whole tour but from Imst everything is fine again 👍 👍 👍

Queen's Stage
Today we had another big tour ahead of us.
With temperatures over 30° 🌞 we started in Imst.
From there, we first went through the Gurgltal and soon reached the Fernpass. The trail quickly climbed, and gradients of up to 25% drained our initial energy 🙈
Very strenuous, even with an e-bike 🙈
And no ☕️☕️ anywhere in …

Today we did the first tour of our trip Füssen-Torbole (Lake Garda). A really great tour. 😀

Today it started late, the route is super nice from the panorama. The Zugspitze massif is particularly impressive! The ascent over the Fernpass is difficult to drive because of the incline and especially because of the loose gravel bottom! There were still remnants of snow on the route! Always be careful on the descent! Check the brakes first!

Since we couldn't find a suitable hotel in Füssen due to the holiday and the bridge day, we set off on our bikes at 9 a.m. and then, not to Nassereith as the tour suggests, but to Imst due to hotel availability. It was a lot for one day, especially since it was already quite warm. That evening, a serious …

Very nice tour of feet driven to Imst. Unfortunately, the Nyon on the bike threw a spanner in the works, so I had to keep stopping and checking the tour in Komoot. If you want to know more, take a look here: viaclaudia.org/via-claudia-augusta-welcome

Super beautiful and varied 2nd stage on the Via Claudia Augusta from Füssen via Reutte, Lermoos, Ehrwald and the Fernpass to Imst. The view of the Zugspitze massif accompanied us for a long time - very, very beautiful.
