View of the Vils Valley

Highlight • Viewpoint

If you come up the Vilstalstrasse, this high valley opens up almost surprisingly. From here it goes on to the Tannheimer Tal near Schattwald or to Jungholz ... but both are still connected with steep gradients.

Tannheimer Valley

Highlight • Gorge

The Tannheimer Hochtal valley fulfils (almost) all the wishes that a cyclist could have for a tour in the mountains. Unfortunately, it is not an insider tip. 😉 Great region, beautiful, will stay in your memory, recommended!

A really nice tour. Something similar was suggested by komoot, but in the opposite direction.
After about 50 km there is a short steep section, but it can be mastered with turbo.

Today we did the round again from Nesselwang via Pfronten into the Vilstal to Schattwald, only we turned right at Schattwald towards Unterjoch and drove back to Nesselwang via Wertach, with a small stop there 🍖🥩🥗🍻🍷 at the olive farmer. We couldn't get past the ice cream parlor 🍨 in Nesselwang without eating an ice cream 🍦. It tastes great …

Beautiful tour through the Tannheimer Tal, via Unterjoch to Grüntensee. A good stop at the Engel inn in Pfronten-Kappel. Then instead of through the Achal as planned, through the Vilstal and back to Grän.

Mountains were not easy to see, but still a very nice tour👍👍👍👍

Vilstal towards Schattwald then via Unterjoch to Sorg Alpe 1
A short distance past the Grüntensee
In Nesselwang "An der Riese" tread water, below the church a delicious ice cream and back through the Wertachtal
It was nice

We parked at Buron, which costs €3 per day. The advantage is that you can almost always find a parking space there. A wonderful tour, two short, sharp climbs, otherwise everything is very easy to cycle. Mostly on asphalt.
The descent from Grän to Pfronten is very beautiful. There's no bike path here, but there's no pasture fence either.
Slalom …

There were four of us traveling in Allgäu and Tyrol.

We started the second tour from Wertach to the Tannheimer Valley and Vilsalpsee via Pfronten. This tour is a must.
The valley is very busy at this time in September.

The video will be released a little later.
Regards, Jürgen
