Walking the bridge is really great. Due to the corona, this is currently only possible in one direction, on the dam wall next door you can then go back and see the imposing bridge from the side.

From the dam you have a wonderful panoramic view. But on weekends it's very crowded here when the weather is nice. No place where you can enjoy the peace!

For the adrenalin junkies among you, I recommend the rapid descent with the double rope slide 120 meters down into the valley just above the water of the dam Wendefurth.

Great view of the dam and the suspension bridge. Here you can enjoy leisure activities from hiking 🥾 to getting an adrenaline rush by "rope riding" and crossing the suspension bridge, depending on your mood or courage!

October 14, 2021,Harz🐺: kurze Rappbodetal-Runde an der Hängebrücke
This short round is unfortunately limited to the suspension bridge and dam, BUT there is a beautiful circular walk R2 (see photos)!

It's wonderful 👏 when you're done with the first highlight of the day at 🕙 before the crowds arrive 🙃. Can you ever do it 👍. Worth seeing 🤩🌁🏞. Tickets are also available from the machines in front of the bridge during peak business hours. The license plate recognition for parking also gets a big 👍. Too bad it's not …

You shouldn't be afraid of heights 😉, because it's not just the height, but also the "moving" swinging of the bridge that creates an adrenaline rush. When the weather is nice, a great view and definitely worth a stop!

November 1, 2024,An der Rappbodetalsperre
Today, unfortunately, it's time to return from the beautiful Harz Mountains.
There's no time for a hike, it takes too much energy before the journey home. So, to the Rappbode Dam.
The really impressive dam is a huge visitor magnet there, you can get a fantastic overview of everything from the observation tower, and of course the gigantic suspension bridge …

Walked a lap across the longest suspension rope bridge of its kind, the Titan-RT, with a view of the Rappbode Dam at a height of 100m.

After my visit to Wernigerode, I drove to the Rappbode Dam. There, you'll find the Titan RT pedestrian suspension bridge. Since it was windy, I liked the idea even more, hoping it would sway a bit in the wind and bounce a bit as visitors walked across it.

Day of quick visits. After the detour to Baumannshöhle, we went to the Rappbodetalsperre, where we had to cross the Titan RT suspension bridge. Exciting thing. Wouldn't have thought that one would falter like that. In the surrounding area you can hike well, but that didn't happen today.

At the end of our short vacation we drove to the Titan-RT, a 458 m long suspension bridge over the Bode right next to the Rappbodetal dam.

Tip: Plan long waiting times!
The recording only shows our moving time. Including the waiting times at the cash desk and at the Titan-RT entrance, we were on the road for about 1:40 …
