Today's hike was a little shorter than on the map. Start and finish were at the Marienstatt monastery. Intermediate stations were the slate mines in Assberg and Limbach. A nice tour, especially worth seeing the Assberg slate mine, which you can even visit. Also worth seeing is the Gothic church of the monastery.

A fantastically beautiful hiking trail, full of highlights. Mostly small paths, otherwise well-maintained trails. Even though the sun didn't want to come out, the rain thankfully stayed away. And all of this is just an hour from home! The first few kilometers along the Nister River are a dream. The Westerwald as you'd wish it to be 😊
