There was already a stream crossing here 1,000 years ago. A bridge was first mentioned here in 1478. The current stone bridge was completely renewed in 1721. It is the oldest still preserved quarry stone bridge in the region. Until the 1970s, all road traffic crossed this bridge, until the new county road was built.
At the moment (August 2019) it is being repaired and refurbished - great!
