June 26, 2026,Morgens um 7.15 Uhr - Königswinter🌳🌳

Early at 7 a.m., we went up through the Nightingale Valley to Drachenfels. With two liters of water and a large towel, I was well-equipped - the announced heat left me no other choice. It was also supposed to be a "meditative hiking attempt".
To begin with, my breath was supposed to be crucial, later the steps and sounds! I …

Today a detour to the 7 mountains to the Drachenburg. Unfortunately, we did not get to Schloss Drachenburg. I had my digital vaccination certificate with me, but unfortunately no ID 🙈 But not bad, as we already know the castle from the inside and outside. A little tip for photography enthusiasts:

October 2, 2025,Naturpark Siebengebirge ✦ 05 ► Der Wanderklassiker

I largely enjoyed the first three numbered circular routes in the Siebengebirge. As of today, there is no tour with the number 4, so tour 5, the self-proclaimed "hiking classic", was next on the agenda.

The climb to the Drachenfels plateau alone is worth seeing and can be completed either on foot or by cable car. At various sections of the climb, there are viewpoints overlooking the Rhine and the surrounding area. In good visibility, you can enjoy sweeping views that are well worth the effort. From the Drachenfels plateau, you can also use the …

Rain was forecast all day, so we took the Drachenfelsbahn cable car up with the option of a view and a coffee ;-)
But: not a drop of rain, so we walked back down :-)

Today it should be the dragon rock. We started near the Hirschburg. With the temperatures, the forest sections were just right for us. Beautiful hike away from all tourist crowds. 🙂👍
