The tour is not long but it is challenging. After endless climbs, the reward finally comes in the form of a white autumn spritzer at the Jungpfalzhütte. Great view and a very nice hut. It was worth it.

Today we went on a varied tour to Annweiler.
I wanted to visit the two knight stones on the Grimmeisen path and the Holder spring (also a knight stone).
I started in OT Gräfenhausen and from there first a beautiful, quaint, enchanted path up to the Sommerfels with an imposing rock passage. I then walked further uphill in the direction …

The trail can be very muddy at the beginning, so only attempt it in dry weather or when there's frost. It's a very beautiful trail. Dogs are not allowed in the idyllic hut, which has a lovely playground, and the elevation gain on this hike shouldn't be underestimated.
