At 2456 meters, Psiloritis is the highest mountain in Crete. The path was OK, but because of the strong gusts of wind I wanted to give up twice and turn back. In the end I made it to the summit 😁, but the descent was unfortunately no better 😅

Today we headed to the roof of Crete, to the nursery of Zeus. A magnificent hike, the effort was worth it! We were well-equipped with plenty of water, sun and wind protection, and poles. We even had five minutes alone on the summit until a friendly trail runner sprinted past us (and took photos). 🤓
