The summit of Monte Paù (or Cima del Gallo) is reached via an exposed, but wide and safe ledge (former military mule track), then climbing between the rocks and following a short trail in the woods. Mount Summano is a mountain of great historical, natural, and scenic interest. It boasts a unique and rare floral biodiversity, undoubtedly due to its location and shape; according to belief, also due to the fact that this hill has been a pilgrimage site since ancient times; traditionally, every traveler brought flowers from their homeland as a gift to the mountain.
