A beautiful hike, in my case starting from Pisoliva just below Fregona. I climbed from Fregona towards the Lagazzon refuge and from there took the path to Baita Cacciatori. Due to the almost complete absence of snow, I managed to reach my destination despite it being January 2nd. Aside from a few tricky sections due to ice and the narrowness of the trail in some sections, the hike is neither too difficult nor too long. When I arrived at Baita Cacciatori, I was greeted by two friendly and curious cats who kept me company for the time I stayed.

At 2,743 meters high, the summit of Rosetta offers a spectacular 360-degree view. Among the notable peaks are Cimon della Pala, the Vezzana peak - the highest of the massif at 3192 meters -, the Civetta and the Pala di San Martino. On the other side the panorama includes valleys, meadows and forests.

Splendid excursion destination of simple/medium difficulty. For those who want to put in a little effort, it can be done on foot, for those who just want to spend a good day in nature, they can take the COLBRICON EXPRESS cable car which allows you to skip the most tiring part and only do the last stretch ( less tiring) to reach the lakes and refuge.

The refuge stands in a splendid position near the two Colbricon lakes. The panorama ranges from the peaks of the Pale di San Martino to the peaks of Lagorai. It can be reached with an easy walk from Passo Rolle (Malga Rolle) or with a slightly more demanding itinerary from Malga Ces.
