Hello everyone, we walked from the Rableid Alm to the Stettiner Hütte on July 12th, 2024 in pouring rain and thunderstorms. After we arrived at the first plateau, we walked the rest of the way up over snow fields without knowing where we were going - about 5 degrees outside temperature - Nevertheless, we arrived safely at the Stettiner Hütte. We spent the night there and were very sad about what was on offer up there... 50 cents for a 30-second shower is a disgrace. The shared rooms are like chickens on a perch... 1 shower and 1 toilet for the whole floor... and the breakfast the next morning... incredibly little and one-sided... Conclusion: never again...tourist rip-off

Perfect for a stop, from here the forest road/hiking trail continues. In May it can still be quite cool and there can be snow.

It was pretty steep and unfortunately there was unexpectedly a lot of traffic (okay, on a Sunday), but it was beautiful and definitely worth it.

From here (2,845 m) you can reach two relatively "easy" three-thousanders: Im Hinteren Eis = 3,279 m and Grawand = 3,251 m with Ötzi viewing platform.

The Schöne-Aussicht-Hütte is a private alpine refuge in the Ötztal Alps at 2842 m slm. It is located just southwest of the Hochjoch in the Schnalskamm, which represents the border between the Austrian North Tyrol and the Italian South Tyrol

Arriving here after the 6-stage tour is a dream. We were very happy to cool our feet after the exertion of the last few days.

But so cold - 1.5 cm - or in other words 13 degrees on 07/10/2023
