The historic stone bridge in the centre of Prissian, called "Stuanbogen", or stone arch, was first mentioned in 1308.

From this vantage point near the hamlets of Narano and Bucolo you can see the town of Merano, which is located a little higher up along the Adige Valley. The mountains all around often have a sprinkling of snow on top.

Foiana, at 700 meters above sea level, is surrounded by woods, orchards and vineyards, offering healthy air and a breathtaking view of the Adige Valley and the Dolomites. The paths that start from the historic center lead through castles, traces of ancient civilizations and typical trattorias, making it an ideal place for excursions.
