Crossroads for Trails or Malga Passing Through on Tours

Pond where there is a crossroads for the various directions. Leadner Alm, Waldbichl and the Uphill Tours. Return to Avelengo or San Luis. Return to Verano (Oberwirt).

Alternative to reach the Wurzer Alm, either by going up or returning or by continuing towards the Leadner Alm, Verano or the Knottenkino and the San Luis

The Wurzerweg is a pleasant dirt road that leads from Avelengo (Hafling) to the Wurzer Alm. Along the way, you will find this small body of water, which invites you to take a relaxing break.

Along this beautiful path between Avelengo and Avelengo di Sopra you can see a waterfall and several references (including statues, display panels and others) to horses: Avelengo is in fact known for being the cradle of origin of the Avelignese horse breed, or Haflinger. It is characterized by a ginger-colored coat and a very light mane and tail.

You can hear it from far away, it's a great place. Be careful, the bridge is sometimes wet and slippery 😉
