The Kleiner Kornigl, or simply Kornigl, is a 2,311-meter-high mountain in the Ilmen Ridge of the Ortler Alps. Its name is a Germanicization of the Latin cornu with the diminutive suffix -iculu, meaning "little horn."
The hike continues southeast along the ridge, with some ups and downs, to the summit cross of Kleiner Kornigl. With sturdy footwear, the necessary concentration, and a certain amount of surefootedness, the ridge hike is easily manageable.
