For the castle area, the Krückau was dammed up in trenches in such a way that three islands were formed, of which the last island bearing the actual castle was also surrounded by a wall ring. From the lookout hill you have a good overview of the (unfortunately) peated moor area. Nevertheless, a place whose magic cannot be denied. A bench on the hill invites you to rest. During the week you are pretty much alone on the road here, and at the weekend there is often a lot more going on. When it rains, the moor has a very special atmosphere.
