The Wittenborner Heide nature reserve remained nutrient-poor and unfertilized due to its previous use as a military training area. This resulted in a diverse landscape of heathland, moors and sparse forests that provide a habitat for many species. You can hike through a very beautiful landscape that is always worth a visit.

Brick was used as a building material. By alternating glazed and unglazed stones as well as shaped stones, various ornaments were created. Mosaics are added to the central gable and the upper floor parapets.

The old town hall of Neumünster is located in the city center on Großflecken and has been a listed building since 1983. The building, which was built between 1898 and 1900 in the neo-Gothic style, was expanded several times with additions.

The Eekholt Wildlife Park is a wildlife park that extends over parts of the municipalities Großenaspe, Bimöhlen and Heidmühlen in the Segeberg district. A very nice zoo. Visiting with children is always something special. Many animals in large enclosures can be admired. And at the end, a large playground awaits the kids.
