Stocksee is an idyllic lake in Holstein Switzerland. Surrounded by forests, meadows, and rolling hills, the 1.3-square-kilometer body of water is ideal for swimming, paddling, hiking, and biking. Here is a large bathing area with a wooden jetty. The lakeside pool is fully accessible and has a large, shaded parking lot.

On the western and southern sides, the Ihlwald, a swamp forest, dominates the shoreline. From 1911 to 1961, there was a Kiel-Segeberg narrow-gauge railway station at Ihlsee, the tracks of which were removed in 1962. The Trave Bridge connects Schackendorf to the west with the Ihlsee to the east. There is an extensive network of hiking trails on both sides of the bridge.
