This magnificent cathedral took over 300 years to build. It boasts an impressive 115 meters in length and a 73-meter-high tower. Its exterior is remarkably ornately decorated.

The fountain house on the Hertogenbosch market is a reconstruction of the historic city fountain.

One of only seven basilicas in the Netherlands, but certainly one of the most beautiful! I recommend a tour inside and out. It's simply worth seeing. The windows are beautifully detailed, illuminated from the inside in the sunshine. The light also illuminates certain details on the walls and ceiling. Be sure to bring your time!

You can arrive here by train to visit the beautiful and historic town of 's-Herogenbosch. Right next to the train station is the large bus station. From here, buses depart for all major cities in North Brabant.

The name Den Bosch is older than the official name 's-Hertogenbosch. That duke was the Duke of Brabant. The shorter name Den Bosch is widely used, but is not official. This is in contrast to The Hague, which is officially used. In many other languages, 's-Hertogenbosch is referred to by its translation: Bois-le-Duc in French, Boscoducale in Italian, Bolduque in Spanish and Herzogenbusch in German.
