Here in Mühlbrook, the Steingraben stream flows from Lake Bordesholm into Lake Einfeld. This creates a very scenic spot with a view of the water.

You're standing with your back to the church here. From here, you actually get a good view across the water. There's a nice playground with rest areas. A really big (and peaceful) goose greeted us here.

My dear wife and I passed through here on our hike "Eider Valley with Blue Bridge" on May 21, 2025. We enjoyed the forest and the landscape.

The terraces offer a beautiful view over the lake. In the evening you can see the sunsets on the opposite shore.

Where the water of the Einfelder Lake flows north over the Steingraben, the hiking trail crosses this white wooden bridge.

Lake Bordesholm is a popular local recreation area. A well-maintained path, around 7 km long, runs mostly along the shore of the 70 hectare lake and is ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. On the west bank is the huge monastery church, which is reminiscent of the former Bordesholm monastery.
