Rose Fairytale

A wide and easily accessible hiking trail leads along the northern bank of the Eider opposite the Schulensee district. 

The gatehouse was originally designed in 1770 by the court architect Georg Greggenhofer for the Deutsch-Nienhof estate on the Westensee. But it wasn't until 200 years later that the plans were realized in the museum. Until it was renovated in 2015 (dormers in the roof), it served as an entrance portal.

If you go over the bridge and across the Eider, you come out at the flower shop in Mielkendorf 😉... But if you start from the 🅿️ in the left direction, you walk directly along the Eider and come out inschulensee 😉...

To the east of Kuhfurtsau the hiking trail runs over 500m directly along the river. This piece is very varied and offers beautiful photo moments in every season. A pedestrian bridge crosses here to the south.
