Wooden ships were built in Schülp between approximately 1759 and 1779. The last, a "Cojüt ship," was built at the Christian Mohr shipyard under the direction of Hans Bock and Hans Frahm. Shipbuilding in Schülp ended with the construction of the Schleswig-Holstein Canal.

The jetty at the Kiel Canal's canal crossing is no longer in operation; as of 2025.

Very beautifully designed stone.

Place worth seeing on the North Baltic Sea Canal. With a bit of luck you can see two large ships passing each other at these points.

Cyclists and hikers are offered a HIGHLIGHT here. I also like the little house when running and thanks to this small detour I managed to run mostly along the canal and at the end to add a small lap into the hinterland. And to be honest, the children pictured are outdoor activists with a penchant for running...

Here you can take a break and use the seating with a view of the NOK or take the benches for a small stretching or strength unit and also watch the birds and/or ships going about
