The parish church in Jevenstedt was first documented in 1164. The interior of St. George's Church in Jevenstedt features a Baroque pulpit altar from the 18th century and a Romanesque baptismal font. Giant sequoia is the name given to the sequoia trees native to the west coast of North America. This tree is already of an impressive size and has the cone-shaped trunk typical of cypresses.
