The fishermen of the Haffküste fishing cooperative head out onto the lagoon daily or empty their fish traps in the Uecker River. They bring ashore fresh perch, pike-perch, roach, eel, burbot, salmon, and whitefish. Under the old chestnut trees, the fishermen's nets dry, and idyllic boathouses evoke memories of bygone days, while modern facilities for cooling and processing the catch are also available. You can also buy freshly caught fish directly from the fishermen.

The white round steel tower with gallery and red lantern with a tapered dome stands on the western pier of Ueckermünde, on the Szczecin Lagoon. The tower has a diameter of two meters and is decorated with the coat of arms of Ueckermünde on the east side. It is the easternmost German lighthouse. The current lighthouse was built by the company VNT Stahlbau GmbH in Abtshagen and erected on December 13/14, 2000.
