The church in this small village is not particularly large, but it looks very imposing with its unusual shape and a wooden tower.

Here at the lower end of the stream valley is a large biotope with lots of reeds and dead trees standing in the water. Very beautiful, one of the highlights of this trail.

The section of the JW VB hiking trail that passes through Richtenberg is part of the Greifenweg. This trail connects Bodstedt with Richtenberg and Franzburg and continues to Tribsees where it meets the Via Baltica. The Greifenweg offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the nature of the coastal hinterland and discover historical sites. There are also numerous hikes and walks in the area around Richtenberg that lead through the picturesque countryside. These routes offer a mix of easy and moderate hikes suitable for all fitness levels.

Currently (Christmas 2024) you can't get to the other side with dry feet 🙈 It's possible with waterproof shoes or rubber boots, or you can take off your shoes and socks.

Small, pretty market square, with depictions of the area's history at the fountain - very cutely done in my opinion.

It is one of the oldest or even the oldest village church in Western Pomerania.

The stones have now been partially supplemented/replaced by lattice stones.

The village church of Tribohm from the 13th century was extensively restored in the 2000s and is a true gem. The church is open regularly and is therefore easily accessible.
